THE SIMPLICITAS APPROACH

Simplicitas has been established by two care professionals with many years experience in the assessment, care and treatment of young people and adults with very complex needs. Often such people carry multiple diagnoses, bridging mental health, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and developmental disorders. Often they have been assessed by numerous professionals with each new label ensuring they are excluded from more and more targeted services.

»Our approach at Simplicitas is to look at the whole person and create bespoke packages which meet individual needs. We regard correct diagnosis as important, but self defeating if it does not lead to a solution.

»Our emphasis is on promoting stability in existing settings and preventing wherever possible long term institutionalisation. We will support families, foster carers and residential settings in sustaining existing arrangements, as well as creating specific residential and supported living packages where this is the most appropriate solution.
